International Schools Match
Australia V New Zealand
The shirt presentation ceremony for the International Schools Match is scheduled for Friday, 3rd October, at the Kurri Burri Polo Club. We are pleased to include this event as part of our Ross Ainsley evening.
We look forward to welcoming everyone and appreciate your support for the junior players.
UMPIRING PATHWAY
Billie Mascart is Australia’s FIRST female undergoing training to be a professional umpire. She is under the tutelage of Professional Umpire Andrew Williams.
Her current APF national umpire rating is Senior Club Umpire - C4. This is the highest amateur rating possible. Having this rating enables her to give C ratings to club members.
Billie is gaining experience by umpiring as many games as possible and is looking forward to utilising her time with the professional umpires when they are in town in a couple of weeks’ time.
Billie is available to hire at the weekends to do umpiring duties and can be booked through Polo Pathways.
For more information on umpire grading visit the APF website.

POLO PATHWAYS POLO TEAM

This Saturday (6th September) marks the debut of our first team playing under the Polo Pathways banner.
The team will be led by Tommy and includes two junior players who are on their development journey. These juniors have benefited from both coaching and mentorship, both on and off the field. The purpose of this team is to encourage greater accountability among junior players, facilitate their growth, and support them in learning to structure plays and lead teams within a low-goal environment.
POLO PONY NUTRITION TALK

On Friday evening (29th August), we hosted our inaugural Polo Pathways event, marking the beginning of a series of educational sessions which is ''A player development initiative endorsed by NSWP" designed to help equip the polo community with resources to enhance standards of horse husbandry within our sport.
The first session focused on Equine Nutrition, offering an overview of fundamental feeding principles and emphasising the importance of purposeful nutrition. Ash Porteous, Territory Manager from Mitavite and Hygain, delivered an interesting and engaging presentation.
Polo Pathways is the official “Polo School” partner of F3Polo Sydney and they very kindly donated 2x GA tickets to F3Polo Sydney on the 8th November as a lucky door prize which was won by Steph Carruthers.
Our next event is scheduled for 3rd October and will feature renowned horseman Ross Ainsley. This interactive session will include mounted demonstrations covering topics such as schooling horses, bitting, and saddle fitting. Additionally, Ross will be available for a Q&A segment. Further details about this event will be provided in the coming weeks.
We greatly appreciate the support shown for our first event and look forward to building on this momentum. Feedback from the community is welcomed, and we encourage suggestions regarding topics of interest for future sessions.
We would like to thank Nick Wills for the generous use of his facility.
